Interior design of the new compartments (railway carriages) for the new Shatin to Central Link of the East Rail Line（沙中線) of the MTR (Mass Transit Railway/underground railway system) in Hong Kong. The Shatin to Central Link has extended the original historical railway line from Hung Hom Station to Admiralty Station and is the forth underground railway line using cross harbour tunnels to link up Kowloon and Hong Kong. This link was proposed in 1972. It was opened on May 15 2022. It had taken 50 years to realise. Construction works began 10 years ago with complicated and difficult procedures.
