This was one of those shots where you see something commonplace that somehow is absolutely beautiful. In this case, it was Sarah in the front passenger seat, with the sunset coming through the window. I saw the opportunity in my mind’s eye, and asked her to display her hair with her back to the window. Opening the aperture to illuminate her face in the shadow, the sun behind her became blindingly white, creating a backdrop. Her hair lit up with a beautiful golden glow, matching her gold eyeshadow and creating a beautiful image. The window tint gave the rays a greenish hue that I enhanced.
