We’d been driving all day. We were hungry and tired and being in the south, there weren’t a lot of places to just pull over and hang out. We finally found a road that lead to a beach pier that looked out over the gulf. We popped the roof on our vanagon, cracked open a beer and cooked dinner in the van as the sun set over the beach behind us.
