This photo shows my colleagues doing field geology on 5200 m above sea level on El Laco Volcano in the High Andes, Chile. This was the highest altitude place I’ve ever spent a working day. It was an absolutely amazing experience, apart from the fact that the high altitude air left you out of breath after only a few meters walking. I will never forget that day.
