A while back my brother and I went up to the El Teide National Park on Tenerife (Canary Islands) for a big hiking day through the vulcanic lava fields and even up one of the vulcanoes of the Park. Safe to say that this whole day was absolutely stunning in terms of views and nature epicness, but also quite a physical challenge as well. This photo was at the beginning of our hike, and we had little to no clue about the steep and long pieces of climbing in store for us that day on the vulcanic sandy steep roads.
