Rise and ride. Staying in a snow-covered yurt out in the Oregon backcountry, a few friends and I took a splitboarding trip and learned all about snowpack and avalanche terrain. After waking up to a few fresh inches of nature’s powder, this photo was captured as we loaded our packs, turned on our beacons, and headed out for a day of touring.
