Sparkle Spot (2005) consists of sloping steel bars with eight sparkles (glittering stones) in the crown and a number of sparkles on the ground. Drawings of children from the neighborhood are screen-printed on the ground scales. The play and meeting place was donated by Jantje Beton to Queen Beatrix on the occasion of her 25th anniversary. There are twenty-five sparkling places in the Netherlands. The artwork is an idea of Jos Spanbroek. He is also the inventor, designer and owner of De Spelerij and De Uitvinderij in Dieren.
