"Immiscible 4". Oil on water. Droplets of olive oil floating on water. Lighting is from the side and underneath, bouncing off an abstract painting I call "Mediterranean Gold". In this painting I used coarse brushes to scumble purple, blue, gold, white and scarlet over each other. The colour combination is inspired from colours often seen around the Mediterranean coast, and from the colours of the garments of the Old Testament priesthood. Olive oil seems appropriate. I used a 90mm macro lens, and for some of these photos, an extension tube as well. Please see the tutorial on the page "Oil and water photography" on my site Tracts4Free.WordPress.com.
