Even after a few weeks have passed, I still find myself looking back on the events of the Million-Woman March in Downtown Chicago. The weekend following Trump’s election was one of chaos. There were people jumping with joy, and people falling to their knees as if their legs had failed them. That is exactly how I see my country now, as if it’s own legs have failed it. The very foundation of our country seems to be shaken, the world’s melting pot has decided it is full and that variety is no longer the spice of life. However, I am optimistic. I believe that we can make the best of anything.
