During a hike in Dawes Arboretum, I ventured to an area I haven’t been before. Once I got through the woods, the trail opened up on the top of the hill with an open clearing. The first tree I noticed was the Yule American Holly Tree. Bright green leaves and red berries provided a stark contrast to the white snow. Then I realized, there were rows of holly trees! Beautiful foliage on a cold winter day. The hill is known as Holly Hill, and it is the proud location of dozens of these amazing trees.
