Warby Parker - Percey
Charcoal contours and rounded lenses create a timeless aesthetic in these frames. I wanted to capture them in a way that drew attention to their shape and proportion so I placed them on a contrasting white surface. To give the image a natural feel I opened the window behind the frames allowing backlight and texture into the composition. After setting my focus I opened the lens wide (f/1.8) to soften the background. Finally, in post-production, I desaturated the image to ignite the subject and emphasize it’s bold lines. (Shot with a 50mm Canon FD lens adapted to fit a Sony NEX-5T.)
