While cruising from Ayutthaya to Bangkok the train stopped suddenly. An orange cloud filled the window and my skin started to try and crackle. The train conductor started screaming in Thai - BOOM - an explosion. While watching the surging flames the reality of danger took over my hedonistic traveler lifestyle. Then the train cruised on by as if no fire ever existed.
