Oasis of Mara

On our way into the Joshua Tree National Park in California we stopped at the Oasis of Mara where these two bare palm tree trunks reach toward the clouds. This photo reminds me of a sunny winter day in the desert and, despite the barren palm tree trunks, it puts me in a sunny, happy mood.
