Unsplash Local is a community, a reason to gather with other people in your neighborhood that are looking to contribute beautiful things to the world. It’s an offline platform for learning, exploring and discovering everything from photography to unseen locations in your city. Unsplash Local is launching with Expeditions, lead by Unsplash Guides across the globe.
Unsplash Expeditions are guided photo adventures in your city. We are going to bring you to new places, inspire you to step outside the boundaries and challenge your idea of what a photowalk can be.

As an Unsplash Guide, you will be a local leader tasked with gathering and growing your city’s creative community.
Yep! We are looking to find people who are not only adventure seeking, photography lovers, but that are also active members of the Unsplash online community.
If you consider VIP access to future Unsplash events, and amazing goodies from top-of-the-line brands as payment -- then yes! If you’re looking for cash -- the answer is no. We know this is a big commitment and we will be showing our appreciation every step of the way.
We are launching Unsplash Local with the focus on Expeditions. Your goal will be to plan an interesting photography route, pick a time and a place and get people to attend! We will provide support through the process.
Nope! Most of us on Unsplash wear many hats and photography might only be one of them.
It’s up to you! If you have an active community and feel ambitious, you may choose to do one a month. We ask that you aim for 4 a year.
In order to grow a tight-knit, organized community, we only partner with one Guide in each city. We encourage you to engage your members by letting them help out and feel a sense of ownership at events, but you will be the main organizer and our exclusive contact.
You should expect to spend anywhere from 4-10 hours a month depending on how many Expeditions you choose to organize.
Once you have been approved, you will receive an agreement which will be up for renewal on an annual basis.
We will open up the application process for your city if there comes a time that you decide to move on.
Yesss! Before we get to the application, we have a challenge for you. Go on a photowalk and document your experience. Afterwards, upload 4-10 photos to Unsplash and create a collection that we can peruse. Keep in mind that Unsplash has an upload limit of 10 photos every 10 days, so plan accordingly!
