Job description

We are looking for our 3rd community team member. The Community Specialist is an integral role in supporting the global community and growing the visual library. Reporting into the Head of Community, this person will support the team in areas of executing growth campaigns/programs, social media & supporting company-wide marketing launches. We are looking for individuals who are community-oriented and passionate about the open photography movement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Growth initiatives: Work cross-functionally with design, product & community teams to coordinate growth programs with the aim of diversifying the Unsplash library

  2. Social Media: Writing and management of posts for various platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), answering questions and comments from the Unsplash community. Engaging with audiences on all channels to build meaningful relationships with the community.

  3. Email Management: Write and manage campaign launches. Have an understanding of targeting strategies based on customer lifecycle segmentation.

  4. Community: Project manage community initiatives and develop a deep understanding of the community’s needs.

  5. Support marketing launches for all teams via social media, email & blog.


  • 2+ years experience in a marketing coordinator and or community role
  • Experience managing social, blog & email accounts
  • Experience managing projects and working with multiple teams
  • Experience working with social, email & project management tools like such as : Trello, Slack, Vero, Buffer, Iconosquare
  • Experience tracking program success & reporting on results
  • Living in Montreal is preferred

Bonus Points:

  • Have experience coordinating acquisition or growth programs
  • Able to quickly develop creative content on the fly shooting photos, videos etc..
