Today we’re celebrating 2 milestones

Well, that was quick. You may remember that last year in May, we announced that after 7 years, 1 million images had been contributed to Unsplash.

Well today, a little over a year later, we’ve now reached 2 million.

But that’s not all. Because today our community has hit not one —  but two — milestones that we’ve been building towards together: 2 million images have been shared by 200,000 of the most amazing contributors out there.

The creativity and generosity within this community constantly amazes us. And we’re so grateful to be a part of it. This year already, we’ve seen how much of an impact the images you share can make – from your photographs of life during lockdown creating a new visual language for world at home, to contributors taking to the streets to document the Black Lives Matter protests around the world.

You’re a constant source of creativity to the community of creators around the world using your visuals to solve problems and make amazing things happen. And you’re a constant source of inspiration to us on the Unsplash Team. Thank you for everything.
