The choice of the name, Ferry McFerryface, follows on the heels of Boaty McBoatface and Trainy McTrainface after the PR disaster of Scottish authorities rejecting the popular public naming competition winner. Ferry McFerryface is the 3rd response to that rejection of the public will, after being invited to enter a name. The controversy is undiminished.
