I keep being drawn back to this image. I crouched, balancing precariously on slippery rocks, my whole self as close to the ground as I could get. It took several attempts - I kept having to retreat as the waves came ever closer and threatened to soak me, teasing me with their unpredictability. I love the impression it gives of towering cliffs and impressive rocks at a narrow beach whereas in reality the ‘cliffs’ were no more than 30cm high and the channel only about 10cm wide.
