Viewing from Lugard Road on The Peak, the residential area called the Mid-levels is in the foreground, e.g. Conduit Road, which is high above the Central Business District in Central District and Sheung Wan. These buildings, situated on the hill slope, are luxurious apartments with a good sea view of Victoria Harbour, while Tsuen Wan, Kwai Chung, and the former Stonecutters Island are in the background. The naval base of the Chinese People's Liberation Army HK Garrison is located on the Stonecutters Island. The highest mountain in HK is Tai Mo Shan, which is in the background.
