MTR Hunghom Station was renovated in 1997 by Norman Foster. It used to be the main station for railway service to Guangzhou in Mainland China. The 1st design was opened in 1975 when it replaced Tsim Sha Tsui Railway Station as the end stop of the Kowloon Canton Railway. In recent years, it has been extended and rennovated as a part of the new line called Shatin to Central Link and also linked up with TuenMa Line. Without tourists in the city during the Covid 19 pandemic, this station is much more quiet now.
