The vent shaft of the Central-Wanchai Bypass is built on one of the breakwaters of Causeway Bay typhoon shelter which stretches out into the Victoria Harbour. Artistic designs are displayed on the breakwater and the precinct. Tourists can enjoy a 360° full sea view of the surrounding areas like northern coast of Hong Kong Island, Causeway Bay typhoon shelter, Victoria Harbour, and Hung Hom on Kowloon Peninsula side on the opposite side of the harbour. The precinct (park) on the harbour front leading to the end of the breakwater with this iconic East Vent Shaft has been a popular tourist site.
